Sam Wilson is a guitarist based in Atlanta, Georgia. He first picked up the guitar at the age of 12, inspired by rock and heavy metal from the 1970s and 1980s. In his teenage years he began playing in local groups in and around Atlanta, sparking his love for composition and performance. Sam later attended Georgia State University where he studied under Luther Enloe completing a Bachelors of Music in May of 2022. In his time at Georgia State, Sam performed with various ensembles in Chamber Settings including the Georgia State Treble Choir and the Georgia State Advanced Guitar Quartet. He is currently completing a Master of Music Degree at Columbus State University as the Graduate Assistant, studying under Andrew Zohn. He has an interest in new music and has worked with composers in the Atlanta area including Brandon K. Smith and Royal Teague, premiering new works for guitar by both composers. In addition to his classical guitar playing Sam has an interest in musicals and has performed as a Pit Orchestra Musician at the Historic Springer Opera House and his old High School Midtown High School in Atlanta, Georgia.
